This is a true remake of battle island. Since I'm a huge fan of that game, my review is maybe a little biased. Gameplay is great, like old battle isle.

Nice campaigns with OK difficulty (AI is easy once you figure out how it works, but again that's true for all games, computers just aren't that smart.yet). Overall, 8 from me. Maybe 7 if you're not a fan of battle island Expand.
I really do enjoy the game and i think players of the Battle Isle series will have fun with it too. Regarding the difficulty grade i think an average TBS player like me can beat the campaign and there is a score system that makes it interesting for hardcore players as well trying to reach a high rating. The story and the dramatic presentation is only average in my view but the core I really do enjoy the game and i think players of the Battle Isle series will have fun with it too. The story and the dramatic presentation is only average in my view but the core game is fun to play and flawless for me. I cannot agree to the point that all advantages are on the attackers side as if you have missions where you have to defend an area or object you can gain defense advantages with a carefull placement of units.
The ingame graphics is nice for a turn based game and the rock scissors paper mechanic of the different units is clearly understandable and working well. A part of the game is to read and understand a map and then make a concious decision in which direction you want to advance first, which might need a bit of figuring out the right way. As an old Battle Isle fan i like Battleworld Kronos very much and feel at home very quickly with the game. All in all iam having fun playing it and hope many people will support the game so that we see an expansion beeing made or maybe a part 2 of it. Good: This game is a ton of fun for any avid strategy player. There is a wide variety of units with varying strengths and weaknesses. Good unit upgrading system, with the ability to bring back veteran units in future battles.
No base building allows more focus on the battle. Good variety of maps.

Good baseline difficulty. Bad: Cheesy dialog and story. I agree with EvilKoala: No defense bonuses, which means 15% Flank bonus on attacks for each adjacent unit heavily favours the attacker. Also no modifiers for terrain reduces the depth of strategy. Verdict: Great game that is lots of fun, and will keep you occupied for hours at a time. One other thing, no one has really said anything anywhere, but the game has an uncanny resemblance to my old Turbo Grafix 16 favourite Military Madness (later re-done as Nectaris Military Madness).
I loved to play the 'good old' battle isle titles. So I was excited to hear that there is a successor and backed it at kickstarter. And the game is worth it! The campaign is fun to play(even if the AI could be improved). The graphics are nice and the game is now running smooth. But the best thing with Battle World Kronos is the turn based multi player possibility. The chance to test your wit against others. It is a game where winning is not about who clicks faster, but who has the best plan (or who makes the least mistakes;-) The game was published more or less in a beta stadium and playing at the beginning showed quite a few bugs. But the last patches eliminated the problems (except for one) and made the game experience really great. I am looking forward for the next improvements and changes like the train expansion. (And when the developers manage to eliminate the mine bug I will award 10 points to the game;-) Expand.
Great round based single player strategy game. It's not exactly like Battle Isle, but better. The AI acts great locally and globally it is a defined by the map designer, so you have a good variety on each map. The included 3 campaigns and challenge maps let you play more than 50 hours.I MapBuilder is also included and you can create and upload own maps. The graphic is great, the Great round based single player strategy game. I MapBuilder is also included and you can create and upload own maps. The graphic is great, the UI-Interface is minimal and could have some more information visible (you find all unit infos with one click). Keyboard support exists.
It has a game story in campaigns, the story is not really important, but could be better. It has a multiplayer too with special maps, mp is for me not important, so i did not write much about it.1 Point for UI-Improvement and the weak story -1 Pont for not use the terrain for damage compute (it is not so significant, but a stigma) Everyone who like round based strategy games must look at this game!
I was very excited about the prospect of a turn based game with a focus on strategy and difficultly. Unfortunately once I got into the campaign this turned to out to be illusion. The 'strategic' AI in this game controls groups of units in pretty much two modes. Wait until you are in range then have the group attack, or chase and attack. Every battle and encounter will plays the same way with the AI shuffling units around. The 'difficulty' is implemented by giving the AI endless spawning units that attack and suicide themselves to whittle your units down.
This is a big disappointment and a clear cop approach out for game developers who can't come up with a good AI. The end result is the campaign scenarios railroad you into making a rush play to the end objective. There is no real strategy.you rush units leaving some behind as you go to delay endless spawning masses while grabbing anything you can along the way. You'll play the same scenarios over and over, wiping out, until you hit upon the right path on the map. The game is move akin to solving a puzzle by trail-and-error that using any real battle strategy.
Meaning difference just grows and grows.Crystal Saga can be enjoyed even if your character is not strong, however strength of your character is very highly correlated with enjoyment for most players. With the clear imbalance, the game can sometime feel frustrating however it is definitely a game worth giving it a shot. The time of the events are set to US and Canada evenings only as R2games only has licence to host events in those periods and for people that lives in different timezone than that of the US is it often not easy to participate in them. The Reality Squared (aka R2games) are based in United States and as all other American they think the world revolves around them (jokes jokes, don’t take it too seriously;P).
