Inspector Parker is a puzzle game that relies on graphic clues to solve a logic puzzle. The clues are tiles that show relationships between characters and objects. Similar to the board game Clue, the idea is to place the correct character and objects in the appropriate room. It builds good.

It was a cutaway of a mansion, with icons of various murder weapons and characters.Notable characters: No real characters that I can remember.Notable gameplay mechanics: You would be given clues as to how to arrange objects, for instance, 'the laudanum is on the floor above John.' You would use these clues to place all of the suspects and possible murder weapons into the correct rooms in the house.Other details: Not an adventure game in any way, the murder mystery thing really just framed the puzzle. I'd also be happy to hear if anyone knows of similar games where you place objects in rooms according to clues. In this subreddit we roll our eyes and snicker at minimum system requirements. This is a community for anyone struggling to find something to play for that older system, or sharing or seeking tips for how to run that shiny new game on yesterday's hardware.

Found a cool game that runs fantastic on a lower end system? Do you have a guide for running a newer game below the minimum requirements? Share it!R/LOWENDGAMING RULES.No 'recommend me games' or 'can I run?' The story was a little corny, but it had such a creative and unique, living breathing world. And the materia combinations made for very customizeable characters. Loved it, but i've played it too many times.FF8 was great too, but the story was even more corny (Crossing the line into 'stale and boring' territory).

The main character was overly gloomy, but it had great customization and unique gameplay again. What I'm looking for:An RPG I haven't played yet that has the unique/innovative gameplay of FF7/ff8, but has a story that isn't corny or buried under a giant pile of tropes/cliches. Something that feels new, with a unique combat/magic/skill system, and focuses on a single main protagonist. On the talk of emulating, I'd recommend the Tales of series. That series has much more fleshed out characters in general (mainly due to skit scenes, from 'what's going to happen?' Talks to random 'I love eating curry', it's all there), and some of the games have a good focus on the world and its interactions/reactions to what's happening/happened. Plus, the villains never 'do it for the evulz', they always have a reason to do what they do, and you usually get to hear their side of the story before the end of the game. The stories aren't really connected, so you can just pick up any.

Sure, there are lots (and lots) of references and cameos (costumes, items, previous game characters appearing, etc), but no actual direct relationship between games. If you don't get a reference, you're not missing much more than 'cool, this character is from that other game I played before'. Yeah, there are no PC games on the series, that's why I mentioned emulation.Abyss has a pretty interesting backstory that isn't really mentioned that much in the main story (a lot of this information is mentioned in the libraries in Baticul, Grand Chokmah, and Daath, or in sidequests).I really liked the battle system in that one.

If it feels weird for you in the beginning, give it some time. :Silver, released in 1999, is an for,. The game was produced by initially for Windows, and later on the Dreamcast. The story focuses around a young warrior called David and his quest to retrieve his wife from the clutches of the villain Silver.

On his journey he gains a number of followers and visits many different landscapes. The game sold over 400,000 copies. The game features polygonal characters drawn against a pre-rendered 2D background. The character design is inspired from Manga/Anime culture. The battle system of Silver is notable for being completely real-time opposed to many similar light role-playing games, which usually have turn-based combat. The player may choose any character in his adventuring party to control, and the rest of the characters are handled automatically by AI. The story focuses largely on collecting eight magic orbs representing different elements, which are Fire, Ice, Health, Earth, Acid, Lightning, Time and Light.

Each orb is located at an area themed around the orb, and the player may use the collected orbs to cast different kind of spells against his enemies. The game was distributed with PCs sold by, a computer company based in England, founded in 1990 which went into administration in 2002, and was very well received by players.Interesting: Parent commenter can. Will also delete on comment score of -1 or less.
