Graphics – 4/5As for a 7-year-old arcade, Happy Wars game has rather nice cartoonish graphics. It’s not very detailed or physically relevant, but still cute. It’s a 3D 3rd person action RPG with a floating camera. You can see almost the whole battlefield from your position and plan tactical moves. Characters animations are traditional for Japanese arcade games, so they are very anime-like and physically undetailed. Gameplay – 3.5/5There are 3 modes in Happy Wars gameplay. The first one is a single-player campaign.

You can also play via Xbox Live local multiplayer with up to 3 friends in a co-op or versus modes. Happy Wars game online co-op mode allows you to unite with up to 14 players and fight against another faction of random players. As a result, every quick online multiplayer match totals up to 30 players per map.You can choose characters of 3 classes, such as mage, cleric, and warrior. Each class has a basic attack along with special abilities.

You have to score points to achieve higher levels and become able to unlock new skills. Some of them are impossible to get by playing the game.

These powerful abilities are available for purchase with Microsoft Points. They are not too expensive and provide you excellence in every battle.The single-player of Happy Wars full game includes 6 chapters with 2-3 missions.

All battles are absolutely similar to the multiplayer clashes. The strange thing is that you have to score special “ranks” in the multiplayer to be able to open new chapters. One chapter costs 5 ranks. The story is very plain and tells about the strife of Light and Dark toon forces. Controls – 4/5Controls in the game are straightforward, but all characters are a bit clumsy.
